How did Danielle’s Coffee start?
Through the hospitality industry, Started at Rick Steins in Padstow as his Head barista, became one of the top baristas in the country in 2006 through the UK Barista Championships & became a UKBC Sensory Judge.

My Italia Blend - A good strong smooth coffee blend with lots of flavour.
With all that has been achieved in your business so far, what are you most proud of?
I am so proud of being 7 years in business & still going strong & I am still as passionate as ever about coffee.
What are you looking forward to most about the Ludlow Food Festival?
Introducing more people to Danielle’s Coffee & supplying knowledge in to what goes in to the perfect cup of coffee. I can’t wait to tell my story & hopefully get more home brewers on board.

Danielle’s Coffee Recipe
Name - Espresso Danielle
Description - Small, Sweet Spicy, Aromatic, intense & full bodied
How it came about - I came up with this drink as my Signature beverage, when I entered the 2006 UK Barista Championships. I was told it received the highest score ever throughout the World Barista championships up to that point. I was working at Rick Steins at the time, so had lots of inspiration around me.
Ingredients -
Condensed Milk
Spices - Turmeric, Chilli, Cardamon & Cinnamon Freshly Ground Burwarton Espresso Blend
Dark Chocolate
Lime
Equipment -
Muslin Cloth
Food safe String
Mini Box Grater
Espresso Glasses
Espresso Machine or Coffee Maker
Preparation:
Make spice bag - Add a small pinch of each spice to the centre of approx 3cm x 3cm cut out square muslin cloth.
Bring all the corners together & tie with the food safe string.
Making the drink:

Add 1 dessertspoon (or to taste) of condensed milk to the espresso glass

lay your ready made spice bag on top with the string outside the glass so its easy to remove

Add your correctly made espresso (see Danielle’s Coffee for details)

Top with grated Dark chocolate & lime zest

Remove the bag when you are happy with the spice strength

Stir & enjoy
